It seems that early this month, F-Secure started a course on Malware Analysis and Anti-virus Technology at the Helsinki University of Technology and all 40 places have been taken up. The course focuses on understanding how a malware operates and how an anti-virus engine is build.
You can get the lecture slides at the course website but you have to follow up each week as the slides will only be release when class is about to start. If you’re really interested in fighting malware, get a book by Peter Szor titled “The Art of Computer Virus Research and Defence” as recommended by F-Secure for this course. The book cost $54.99 at Amazon.com.

Next available slide on 30th Jan!

Hi. I wished to drop you a quick note to specific my thanks. I have been following your weblog for a month or so and have picked up some good data in addition to enjoyed the way you have structured your site. I am trying to run my own blog however I think its too general and I wish to focus extra on smaller topics. Being all things to all people shouldn’t be all that its cracked as much as be.
