User interface

F-Secure Anti-virus 2009 uses the same user interface as with it’s 2008 version. In terms of user ability, we think that this user interface is very straight forward, easy locatable functions.

Features and Performance

First, we would like to congratulate F-Secure for the 1% improvement on detection rates( malware: 99.2% ad-ware/spyware: 99.6% ) compared to the 2008 version - tested by AV-Test. F-Secure got 3rd placing for on-demand detection but nevertheless F-Secure is heavily protected with it’s latest DeepGuard 2.0 proactive detection technology - global protection within 60 seconds from first confirmation of a new threat.

Conclusion

Very good detection rates, very strong behavioural based detection, good web surfing protection but slower scanning rates. One of our top choice for anti-virus software.
