Firefox 3.0.1 is now available as an update and full version here. To get the update, just hover your mouse cursor on the Help menu of Firefox and click on “Check for Updates”. The list of issues fixed in Firefox 3.0.1 is available in the Release Notes section.
The Firefox updates includes 3 critical fixes to security issues namely:
- Crash with malformed GIF file on Mac OS X
- Command-line URLs launch multiple tabs when Firefox not running
- Remote code execution by overflowing CSS reference counter

Just when you thought you’ve seen the end of hacked cinema’s website (refering to Malaysia’s GSC website), another one surfaces at TGV.com.my just about 3 months later. According to SANS Internet Storm center, this type of SQL injection uses SQL commands to attack the “sysobject” and “syscolumn” in the database and particularly a website that uses Active Server Pages(ASP).

It allows anyone to take a look at what are the most popular searched terms. You can also start by typing in terms and Google will beautifully display it in a graph form.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 was released earlier this month but there is no word of such release on their press center. However, a big promotional banner showing boxes of the new releases with a football field as a backdrop indicating that Kaspersky is trying to ride along the EURO 2008 football season tipped us off about the released. Today we will be taking a preview of the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 which spots a whole new graphic user interface (GUI). Cool!!
