
Norton is trying to win the hearts from the geeks community with its newly launched Norton 2009 products - super light on resources and lighting fast to be installed. Over the pass few years, in our opinion, Norton failed to attract wave of computer users to use Norton like it did many many years ago. It seems that the onset of free anti-virus software from the “Triple A’s - AVG, Avast, Avira” manage to shy most of the consumers away from Norton and other subscription based anti-virus vendors. Can Norton be king again with its Norton 2009?

Symantec Corp recently announced the new Norton AntiVirus Dual Protection for MAC users. This anti-virus solution is targeted at MAC users who are running the Boot Camp or Microsoft visualization software so that they can have Norton AntiVirus installed on both the MAC OS and the Windows OS. This comes at a price of $69.90 which includes the Norton AntiVirus 11 for Mac and the Norton AntiVirus 2008 for Windows.
Early this month, Symantec Corp also announced the released for Norton 360 version 2.0 with newly added patent pending Browser Protection technology to protect users against drive-by-downloads. The Norton 360 is an all-in-one security solution which also includes anti-spyware, anti-phising, firewall, e-mail scanning and etc.
