Gpcode strikes with a 1024-bit encryptor

According to Kaspersky Lab (June 5, 2008), the new Virus.Win32.Gpcode.ak variant is said to take your personal files hostage by encrypting them with a 1024-bit key, a huge upgrade from the previous Gpcode variant which was using a 660-bit key.

Clannad virus creator arrested

Masato Nakatsuji, 24 created a virus based on the Japanese tv anime “Clannad” and released it on the P2P network threatening to kill P2P sharers. He was arrested not because he wrote the virus but because of copyright infringement. It is said that two other middle-aged man also help in the released on the Clannad virus.
